Regardless they needed a solution to their debilitating and horrific predicament. Beginning to find themselves in a desperate situation and can no longer tolerate the prevailing evil of the cornfield, they would resort to unspeakable means in their trial and error approach to their enduring predicament.  

It’s about time the prophesied one shows up, but Kolọ couldn’t possibly be the one. A twelve-year-old hearing and speech impaired girl couldn't possibly be the handmaid of the gods.
