This book is organised into five chapters. With the present chapter providing an overall understanding on social learning. Chapter two reviews the relevant literature on the existing implementations of social learning specifically higher education institutions. It illustrates the opportunities and challenges in implementing social tools and services in learning, and highlights key issues in integrating this technology in a blended learning environment. It also presents a structured overview of related works in the field and a conceptual diagram of the current integration of social learning by teachers. Chapter three presents several approaches and the strategies used to investigate a multitude of social learning solutions done by educators. Chapter four reports the best practices obtained from the analysed datasets. The enquiries on this topic are addressed and the findings are interpreted from the users’ perspectives with the view of contributing towards an understanding of the social learning phenomenon. Chapter five provides conclusions and practical recommendations based on the findings. It concludes suggestions for future work
