Ringkasan

The existing arsenic removal technique could be complex in treating arsenic due to the neturality of species, low water flux, and limited contact area. An adsorptive nanocomposite membrane is a promising alternatif for the remediation or arsenic from water and wastewater. The integration of nanotechnology and membrane technology has led to outstanding performance. Therefore, a novel adsorptive membrane was fabricated by incorporating a hydrous iron-nickel-manganese (HINM) tri-metal oxide nanoparticles into a polysulfone (PSf) membrane. The adsorptive nanocomposite PSf/HINM membranes were fabricated by dry-wet spinning phase inversion technique. Various spectroscopic methods were utilized for physisorption. The leaching test demonstrated the stability of the membrane. Additionally, the membrance can be easily regenerated. Hence, developing the adsorptive nanocomposite PSf/HINM membrane is a promising solution for arsenic remediation in the wate body due to the synergistic properties of oxidation, adsorption, and filtration in the same chamber.
