Fidelio, the teenage son of a peasant, is a healer—not that he'll admit it. But after enlisting in the Northern Division under Francisco Villa during the Mexican revolution; spending a few years as a shepherd and miner, where he struggled with union corruption; and trying to avoid religious persecution, he finally accepts his gift and dedicates the last years of his life to serving those in need and preaching God's love.
