The first installment of The RIISE Roadmap to Independent School Success & Beyond is an introduction to the experiences of Ms. Parker Collins’ family as well as an overview of the culture of independent schools. Subsequent installments will focus on issues including the application process, becoming an active parent, and dealing with the hurdles families face when entering predominantly affluent and white institutions.
