“Shadow Play and other stories” is a collection of poetic prose, composed like a record of reflective songs with interwoven themes of dreams, daydreaming, catnaps, nightmares, and visionary, lucid states of mind of the characters, who frequently bear traits of travelers, adventurers, discoverers, healers; some are mere visitors, some almost homeless, some freshly uprooted, some lost, some fallen from the sky. Women are often featured as protagonists.
