This book is the story of one mans journey in search of a meaningful life through the promotion of international assistance programs to stimulate economic development and respond to the needs of crisis situations around the world. The story starts at point of entry into the international field through the US military and leads on to graduate studies on development subjects in Australia and India. From there, it provides a first hand look at the inner workings of international assistance programs principally sponsored by the US Government in the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe and parts of Asia. Each and every American citizen, who paid federal taxes, participated in these programs which form an important part of the legacy of our nation and people over the last 70 years.
