This Urban Farming (UF) book will help planners, policymakers, academicians, university students, NGOs, researchers, and practitioners to gain a better understanding of UF challenges and opportunities in Malaysia. We compiled the current work on UF in Malaysia to provide accurate and up-to-date information for all stakeholders who are involved or interested in farming in urban and peri-urban areas. This book includes wider perspectives of UF that go beyond cultivation of plants and vegetables to include more recent lucrative urban farming options such as swiftlet ranching with the potential of contributing to the gross national income.
